To create a chignon, gather your the hair at the nape of your neck, and secure it with a thin non-snag elastic band. Twist your ponytail and wrap it around the start of your ponytail to form a bun, then secure with bobby pins and tuck in any loose ends.
Take a small strand of hair no thicker than 1.5cm from the outer edge of one side and cross it over diagonally, joining it with the other section and holding it in place. Repeat on the opposite side.
