EBT Payments
What is EBT?
EBT stands for Electronic Benefit Transfer. It’s a card-based system that allows recipients of government assistance programs, such as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) to access their benefits using a plastic debit card. Please refer to the USDA website for more information, including state level Restaurant Meals Program information.
Where is EBT payment accepted?
Select locations/markets in California only at this time. Note that Taco Bell Cantinas are not accepting EBT payment at this time. Continue to check here as we expand into eligible states/markets.
Which Taco Bell restaurant locations can I use my EBT card?

Do participating Taco Bell locations that accept EBT payment allow Cash Refunds?
Unfortunately, no. Cash Refunds are not allowed. However, we can refund the same form of payment used, EBT card.
How do I use my EBT card in-restaurant that accepts this method of payment?
Inform the Taco Bell team member that you’d like to pay with your EBT Card when placing your order at front counter or drive thru. They will assist you with processing the transaction.
Can I call a location to process my order with my EBT card?
Unfortunately, no. EBT payment is only allowed in-person at participating restaurants.
Can I save my EBT card on my Taco Bell account?
Unfortunately, no. EBT payments are only accepted in-person at participating restaurants.
Can I use EBT card for delivery or online orders?
Unfortunately, no. Currently, we only accept EBT payment for in-person purchases at participating restaurants. Please stay tuned for updates.
Can I use my EBT card at Kiosk?
You may pay for your order using your EBT card at the Front Counter at participating restaurants (excluding Cantinas). Currently, the Kiosk doesn’t have a PIN code option.
Will I be eligible to earn Taco Bell Rewards when using my EBT card?
Yes. Look for the barcode at the bottom of your receipt, which you can then scan on your app with the Taco Bell Rewards scanner.
