Copycat Starbucks Brownies Recipe:
We like to go to Starbucks for their yummy coffee and their desserts. My kids always want to get their Chocolate Brownies but with my large family that gets expensive. So I decided to make them at home.
I love to come up with copycat recipes for our favorite restaurant recipes and I am glad I decided to make this copycat brownie recipe. The ingredients are simple and everything combines in one bowl making this an easy recipe to make.
There is no need to make a box brownie mix, when you can make brownies from scratch with this copycat recipe. These brownies are rich, fudgy, full of chocolate and taste amazing.
Ingredients:
- Unsalted Butter, melted & cooled to room temperature
- Granulated Sugar
- Large Eggs
- Vanilla Extract
- All Purpose Flour
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- Salt
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, Divided
How to Make Starbucks Brownies:
- Prepare oven and baking dish – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line an 8X8 baking dish with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients together – In a large mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract.
- Add in Cocoa Powder – Then add in the cocoa powder and stir until it’s fully combined.I like to whisk until combined.
- Mix in dry ingredients – Then stir in the flour and salt and stir until just combined. Be careful to not over mix.
- Add in Chocolate Chips – Then fold in 1 ½ cups of the chocolate chips.
- Pour Batter into baking dish – Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Gently tap the baking dish on the counter to level the batter in the pan.
- Top with Chocolate Chips – Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips evenly on top and gently press them down into the batter.
- Bake Brownies – Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (make sure it’s not inserted into a chocolate chip).
- Cool, Serve and Enjoy – Cool the brownies on a wire rack for 2 hours before cutting them and serving them.
Can I Double this Recipe?
Yes, this recipe is perfect to double the ingredients and make in a 9×13 baking pan. This fudge brownie is perfect for the holidays and your holiday dessert trays.
How to Store Copycat Starbucks Double Chocolate Brownies:
Store the leftover brownies in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
Tips for Starbucks Double Chocolate Brownies:
- Cocoa Powder – Make sure when adding the cocoa powder to the mixture that there is no lumps. You may need to sift in the cocoa powder to the egg mixture.
- Chocolate Chips – We used chocolate chips in this recipe, but you can also use chocolate chunks. We recommend staying with semi-sweet so the chewy brownies are not to sweet. You can also use dark chocolate chips.
- Oil – When we make this recipe, we stick with the unsalted butter ingredient. We do not recommend using vegetable oil or canola oil.
- Brownies to Cool – After the fudgy brownies are done baking, allow them to cool before serving.
- Brownie Batter – Do not overmix the batter and combine only until well mixed. It will be thick but this is normal.
Easy Starbucks Copycat Brownies:
It is a fabulous treat that our entire family enjoys. Even if you do not go to Starbucks, this brownie recipe is a must try. I highly recommend it as the results are exceptional.
These brownies are perfect for the holiday or for weeknight movie night.
