LGBT & Allies: Support, Community, and Activism
The Multicultural Center’s Pride Project is a resource program devoted to providing support to LGBT students and allies as they develop academically, professionally and socially. We strive to provide a safe location on campus for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.
The Pride Project is part of Angelo State University’s commitment to diversity education. Educational programs and events are meant to provide support to the LGBT community and provide a formal forum for equality activism. Our program fosters collaborative partnerships with departments across campus and in the community to make ASU a safe and welcoming space for every student.
What We Do
- Encourage developing valuable skill sets necessary to understand gender diversity
- Connect LGBT students and allies to encourage and support their higher education goals
- Increase gender awareness through campus and community activities and resources
