Where did this guy come from? Apprently tearing it up in practice, making transfers go back to the portal.

Sadly i know nothing about this kid, figured it would be all turner and boone next year.

From Miami. Never been the man, but has had production sandwiched around injuries. Very nice ypc averages in his healthy years. Guys like this and Guerrendo show just how rich some teams really are, when they have potential stars that are fall back and committee plans players that can easily get pushed down the depth chart by injuries or a team that is just loaded at a position.

If not for injuries more college football fans would be aware of this guy.

The young man was a 4 star out of high school and the 5th best running back in the Country according to this site. I think that Boone is very impressed with him!

The most important thing is much like Tyler at qb Chaney is healthy. His numbers while never 100-% were solid so now he seems to be good to go he’s looked the part. Not going to critique Boone the guy just want the PT and while that’s admirable we have at least two guys being praised at the RB position and that’s scary for a transfer who thought he’d be the runaway option out of the portal. He will be fine and trust me Louisville is good to go

Only got four or five touches so I’m not sure how much you can get from that. Miami was a weird team last year. If he’s performing well in spring hopefully he stays healthy and carries over.

Thing is...it's not like Boone wasn't going to get his share of touching the ball. Not quite workhorse touches, but enough that if he produced, he would get his recognition.

I get it, players want to be seen, but if you can play, you can play and any coach worth their salt isn't going to keep their team from winning by playing guys that can't produce. The Louisville program is about winning first and if a player is more concerned about themselves first and the what they can do for the team second, let 'em hit the bricks.

It’s the way it is now. Guys want max touches or snaps. Yes he would have done great here. He just didn’t want to risk his shot and honestly he would have. We have a very deep young team

I blame Demling. He probably put too much shine on his recent Chaney and Turner articles and they gave Boone an uneasy feeling when he read them. Tell me more about Chaney (13)

We do have young talent, but looking at both of the depth charts that I've seen, you can count on one hand the non-junior and above players in the 2-deep. I know that it's just speculation, but I bet it isn't too far off from that. And, I'm talking both sides of the ball combined.

OurLads just updated their depth chart yesterday. They have no less than junior players starting and the only player less experienced than junior level on second string is Clark, Allen, Holloway and Green. Holloway and Allen are RS Sophom*ores, so the only players with less than 2 years of experience in the 2 deep are Clark and Green. They do have Unije listed as 2nd string tackle, so I assume that Sylvester will move to that spot?

For sure. Starters are established but our young guys are talented as we’ve had in a while. I’m also not any way shape or form saying Penny wasn’t rb1 because more odds say he was. He just wasn’t the runaway #1 like we initially thought.
